That's the spirit.
I foresee that we will sign a manager no one likes and we will do good but then our amazing fans will say we miss Rafa and start chanting in games for him back. Players do shit, manager gets sacked and Rafa comes in.
Then we are back to square one

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Martinez is far superior to Rodgers, why would anyone want that Northen Irish rentboy at our club over a young upcoming Spaniard?

I'm just pointing out that we can't really claim anything with that link. Posting in here like that implies big news.
in truth it is just another stupid article saying stuff without backing it up.....

If The Times, The Guardian, The Independent, and The Echo linked us to a player everyone wanted it would be one massive circle jerk in here. But because it's a story we don't want to hear we demand quotes and say it's bollocks.
I just find that funny and I'll leave yous to it.

I don't really care if AVB comes here or not..... if i'm being honest I rather have capello but it isn't about that. You have some built up hate for the owners and it seems like every time you post, you attack them.

Built up hate? I've just aired my views on them. They could come good, I'm just nervous because they know fuck all and have been advised by fans, gobshites, and Rick Parry (enough to make anyone nervous).
The majority of my posts in here have been updates on the manager situation.
Stop talking out of your arse.

BTW I was laughing because you brought up something about the owners when I haven't made a post about the owners in a good few days. I posted an article about the manager ffs.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Looks like Martinez. Ah well, £50 down the drain for me. Although, every major paper reported last week Villas-Boas was to be 'offered' the job, now they're all saying he's out of the 'running'.
Doing my fucking head in now this. Van Gaal, Jesus, that guy gives me nightmares. Not in a footballing aspect, just that he's a fucking nut job. The Balotelli of management. I reckon our players need someone like that though, they were lapping it up with Kenny in charge, they need a good kick up the ass.

Am I the only one who feels a slight amusement at Andres Villas Boas being mentioned in the same sentences as Roberto Martinez, Brendan Rodgers and Paul Lambert? It just seems so wrong for some reason.

No it doesn't. AVB has achieved nothing, woeful manager and an embarrassment to Chelsea Football Club (Period).

Shouldn't really write him off just because of his Chelsea tenure.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Let's not overhype Villas Boas. He won the Portuguese league with a team that's won it like 10 times out of the last 11. He had the best team in the UEFA cup as well.
He completely fucked Chelsea up though.
He's still a massive gamble. He's just won stuff which shows potential.

I honestly don't see why Villas Boas gets the recognition you're giving him, he hasn't done that much to deserve it.Laurencio wrote:Am I the only one who feels a slight amusement at Andres Villas Boas being mentioned in the same sentences as Roberto Martinez, Brendan Rodgers and Paul Lambert? I meant more a long the lines of, one is a European cup winner, a league winner and domestic cup winner. The others
are more or less lower table managers. It seems a tad nonsensical.

True, but I struggle to see what the three others have done that is "better" or on par with that.

Getting Swansea to 11th playing that football is quite incredible in my opinion.Laurencio wrote:True, but I struggle to see what the three others have done that is "better" or on par with that.

The other 3 haven't had the chance to manage the top team in a basically 1 team league.
