Sounds a bit like he has a mouth full of cotton. Possibly also Scottish.

I've always liked Nyarko. Always looked like he had what it took to be great. He's 26 now. Still feels like he's 22 to me.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
He had to refine his game once he made it to MLS. His speed was without equal in college, but he struggled with finishing (his high chance total meant he scored plenty of goals though). So his finishing was found out in MLS, but putting him on the wing where he could take on defenders with pace takes advantage of his skills.

The co commentator is Duncan Oughton. A New Zealander.

So. Hesmer has pretty much said he's gone. Tchani, Duka and Vukovic are most likely gone as well.
Can't wait for the roster turnover to be used as a excuse for our fail next year.

You guys now have such a solid core though. G-Hammer, Marshall, Gaven, Arrieta, and Higuian is a fantastic set of players. If you can find the right compliments for them, you'll challenge for the league in 2013.

Mariner has gone to Europe to scout talent. He says he's determined to turn the team around next season. Really hope this is true.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
Marshall might be gone as well. FO might decide he's too injury prone and not worth 300k a year to play 25-30 games a year. Didn't exactly play that well either.Scuba Steve wrote:You guys now have such a solid core though. G-Hammer, Marshall, Gaven, Arrieta, and Higuian is a fantastic set of players. I am in the position of either rooting for NYRB or DC.

If those are my choices I'd rather root for Sandy.

I can't go to the game now. Damnit. And Houston beat Chicago 2-1 tonight to move on to face Sporting. LA/Vancouver tomorrow.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
Have they actually delayed the start of the game or are we missing something due to the Canadian Football game running over? It makes sense to delay this since it impacts the broadcast in both countries. I know this league has been screwed over by American football too many times to count.
