Juninho's goal against us was ridiculous. Our defense is also ridiculous in a different sense.

Yeah don't leave him open there. Also, your back up keeper is shit. (not Milos). No idea what he was doing on that free kick. And we won tonight. Tied with New York on 50 points.

Back-up back-up technically. Though to be honest I think Kosic is better than Frei.

Yeah that's what I meant. But I think Frei is better. Though Milos is definitely a good keeper in the league.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
Maybe its just because Milos has been worked this season more than Frei ever was. This year probably has been our worst season ever defensively... If not all together.
I think we kept one clean sheet all season. Which I remember Kosic was amazing in.

Yeah, I know the part about narrow minded pundits is similar to water is wet, but it was the MLS stuff I wanted to get see some thoughts on since I don't watch it.

Re: Major League Soccer (MLS) Thread
I disagree with the points made about Agudelo, Adu, and Feilhaber. I think that most Americans were excited to see Agudelo come through because he is young, physical, and obviously has some technique. Same with Feilhaber, I just don't think he fits with New England (football RIP in foxboro), Adu... eh... pass.
Also disagree with Cameron, maybe it's me, but I thought 2-3 years ago he would play for the US and Europe, he had "that look" he wasnt playing at an all star level just yet but the way he controlled the ball to me showed he was playing below his level. So in all, when it comes to pundits/fans only watching English football, I agree, but I also think it's sort of lazy to think that the journo's don't know what good football is and will criticize the US players who are more creative/technical (Dempsey for example).
Also also, about the American journo's not pushing JK to play Adu, Feilhaber, or a #10... the US STILL hasnt produced one, he calls Adu an international playmaker but I mean let's be serious, what has he done overseas? I think Benny is talented but until he gets a good run with SOMEBODY and plays well for the US when he gets the chance he's not going to be it. I think we are still years away from that #10 coming into the US, we get false starts every once in a while, but I'd say the first one who goes on to play say... really high level international club football will probably be discovered between 2014 and 2018 (not to say that's when he will play for a big club, but I think that's when he will break through).
So to summarize, I think that the level of players we have produced over the year's has definitely risen, but the type of player still isnt there. Players like Adu and Feilhaber are square pegs trying to fit in round hole's, we're a 4-4-2 (or 4-2-2-2) nation right now, and will be for a while.

Oh and the prototypical "Keep shit really simple and hardworking and set pieces set pieces set pieces" dudes in America are probably Alexi Lalas and Taylor Twellman. Who of course work for the biggest soccer outlet in the nation

If Henry can play at 60-70% of what he did tonight, and we keep the midfield as Cahill/Dax, we are going to win MLS Cup.
