RVP's average. What a shit season he's had. If we ask for any more than £15m then we're stupid.

He would of been a welcome addition, the squad really does need sorting out.. good to see things 'appear' to be changing.N wrote:I dont want the Ajax defender. And it doesnt seem like we are getting him. So all good.
He wants to be obvious 1st choice..and he wont be here.

I would love to see him play with the mindset of an attacking player.
Although, at the same time, is he better than Rosicky in this role? The reason Song can pull off the passes he does, usually he is watching the game from further back, and has more time to spot the passes. Rosicky has been fantastic lately, if we could see Song play in that role, and see how he can create attacks with less time and space we'd be able to see what he can do there. There is no doubt he has sexy passing ability, holds the ball quite well and dribbles well too. Just might not have the velocity of thought that Rosicky does (and Ramsey's couldn't even be called "velocity", too positively connotated)
No he tries it 10 times and gets it right once

Alex Song has attempted 88 through balls in the league this season, and only 22 of them have been accurate. Which is 25%.
He has also attempted 153 long balls in the league this season, and 102 of them have been accurate. Which is 66.66666667%.

Where did you get those stats from, Zlatan? Can you find someone like Yaya Toure or David Silva's stats so we can compare?

http://www.whoscored.com/
Yaya Toure has attempted 42 through balls, completing just 11. Which is 26.2%.
He has attempted 205 long balls, completing 165. Which is around 80.5%.

I cant find how many passes Silva's made but he has a 87.3% Pass success and he averages 55.2 passes per game compared to Alex Song's 84.3% and 66.4 passes per game.
Song.
Song.

Like a lot of players lol? If he got it right everytime RVP would be scoring every 5 mins... realistic ?
Think about Song's ball to Henry againt Leeds, further back , took his time , brilliant
