Dont know if he'll be able to handle playing for a big team in London.

Wasn't given a fair go at Bayern, IMO. We will have to wait and see, of course we're worried, but hoping for the best as always

He was forced out at Bayern. I think he'll be alright here.

He was used as a winger in a 442 at Bayern.

If Arsenal keep van Persie and continue to use a 433 formation I'm sure Podolski, van Persie and whoever is playing on the right will keep changing positions all game anyway.

    This.

Van Persie will be able to drop deep and actually rely on his wingers and be able to orchestrate play. Him and Chambo do well. Podolski will be even better, the man knows how to score, simple as that

I know, it's because we've got him and they didn't snap him up. He'll rip it up here with the amount of chances we create.

He played on the left of a 442 it's not worrying at all Schweinsteiger played on the right and looked average too.

I wasn't talking like that at all....in fact, nobody is. It's well documented that he didn't do well or succeed at Bayern, no matter how he was sold. That is his only big club experience and my question was well justified and intentioned.

    Chill out.

To everyone who says Podolski failed at a big club, Bergkamp and Henry failed at Inter and Juve respectively, look what Wenger turned them into. In fact, both Henry and Poldi were played on the left wing in a 442 and then transformed into strikers.
Poldi had to do lots of defensive work under Magath at Bayern which he didn't like and was injured a few times as well. He hardly played under Klinsmann either but when Jupp Heynckes took over he was fantastic in the last few games of the season, still wanted to return to Köln though.
Look what he did for the German NT at the highest stage as well, I'm convinced he'll do well at Arsenal.

Damian Martinez will probably be promoted. He's supposed to be pretty good, no?
