Hindsight? How did he know that Carroll wouldn't 'contribute anything', we were still pushing for europe at that point anyway

Why do people have this obsession with picking up on little technicalities.

What do you have to say about everything else.

Because everything has been said before. It wasn't the plan to buy Carroll. We were going to start Suarez and Torres up front, which could have been devastating, but Torres fucked that up, by asking to leave and leaving us with little or no time to sign another striker. Carroll was playing well for Newcastle at that point, so we signed him. The only reason the price was so high, was because of the timing and the Newcastle owner's reluctance to let him go. Having said all this, I swear Carroll has a better goal return than Torres, or at least similar. So if Carroll is the worst buy of the century, what does that make Torres? He costed £15 million more.

You're talking out of your arse when you say the other signings sound like 'Comolli' signings. We Liverpool fans know more than you in that department, because we've read more about it. It has come out that all of the signings were actually Comolli signings. Comolli picks a player, asks Dalglish what he thinks, and Dalglish decides whether to go for him or not. There was even a transcript somewhere with the Carroll signing that went something like - Comolli: "What about Carroll?" Dalglish: "Can you get him?". Comolli was responsible for all of them, good or bad.

As for your Henderson comment. You contradict yourself. You say Henderson is a mid-table player who is not good enough to start for Liverpool. Well guess what? We currently ARE a mid-table team.

I still think Henderson will be a big player for us in the next 3 years. I can see it in his game. He has excellent first touch, a great engine, a good eye for key passes. It's not doing him any favours putting him on the wing. When he's been in the middle for us, he's held his own.

I didn't actually say that, I've taken a break from being on the Liverpool hate bandwagon and decided to say something completely free of any form of baiting or trolling.

Liverpool are in a midtable position currently but are not a midtable club, that just shows you how far Liverpool have fallen under Dalglish.

Which then points to his lack of ability as a manager.

Teams aren't recognised by good players unless they're in continental competitions of the top kind.

The Champions League is where every big team should be, not in cup finals with second division Welsh teams.

*sigh* We're not good enough to be in the CL. We'd just get knocked out early, like Arsenal did. Would rather win 2 Cups this year, than nothing this year plus being knocked out of the CL early next year.

    Exactly.

Liverpool are slowly degrading from a team that was proud of playing in Champions' League finals against top, top opposition to being proud of being in cup finals against inferior teams.

Whilst Arsenal are proud to qualify for the CL every year, not coming close to winning it, and not winning anything at all.

My friend, that is quite clearly not bait, but an honest and well balanced argument. Suarez was a very expensive purchase, and for his goals return, he has simply not lived up to the price tag. You would expect a perfect product when buying somebody for that price, unfortunately, Suarez is far from it, and he comes with alot of baggage, which is also costing the club.

Enrique and Bellamy are purchases which further go to prove that Kenny is reluctant to look outside of the premier league, and is blinded in thinking that English and premier league players are the best. Bellamy was never a signing which would propel Liverpool to the top 4, which is why City got rid of him.

Coates could be a decent centre back, however, it is quite clear to see that Suarez suggested him to Kenny and Kenny did not want to risk upset to Suarez.

When 9/10 signings are of a poor standard, with the amount of spending Kenny has had, you would have to question whether or not he is one of the worst managers to grace the modern game Liverpool FC Official Thread - Page 4 214775

Dalglish took the risk with Carroll and it turned out to be a mistake. At the end of the day he holds responsibility for that failure, the last day of the transfer market etc doesn't excuse him, its his own fault for not planning ahead is it not? He's shit in the transfer market just accept that Scott

Arsenal only got knocked out because we drew AC Milan despite winning our group, very unlucky draw and I enjoyed the home game. I'd rather play Milan in europe than win against Cardiff in the Carling Cup.

Fantastic achievement, we get to have giants like Barcelona and AC Milan come to the Emirates and we get to beat them at the Emirates.

NZG, with Liverpool being Liverpool you'll attract players to sign, but they have to be the right players and that's what Kenny has failed to do.

You realise they're like 30+ years old? Bellamy especially can't play every game with his fucked up knees, week in week out, so I don't think that would really have a baring, unless we're planning on signing older players?
