Why do people have this obsession with picking up on little technicalities.
What do you have to say about everything else.
Because everything has been said before. It wasn't the plan to buy Carroll. We were going to start Suarez and Torres up front, which could have been devastating, but Torres fucked that up, by asking to leave and leaving us with little or no time to sign another striker. Carroll was playing well for Newcastle at that point, so we signed him. The only reason the price was so high, was because of the timing and the Newcastle owner's reluctance to let him go. Having said all this, I swear Carroll has a better goal return than Torres, or at least similar. So if Carroll is the worst buy of the century, what does that make Torres? He costed £15 million more.
You're talking out of your arse when you say the other signings sound like 'Comolli' signings. We Liverpool fans know more than you in that department, because we've read more about it. It has come out that all of the signings were actually Comolli signings. Comolli picks a player, asks Dalglish what he thinks, and Dalglish decides whether to go for him or not. There was even a transcript somewhere with the Carroll signing that went something like - Comolli: "What about Carroll?" Dalglish: "Can you get him?". Comolli was responsible for all of them, good or bad.
As for your Henderson comment.
You contradict yourself. You say Henderson is a mid-table player who is not good enough to start for Liverpool. Well guess what? We currently ARE a mid-table team.
I still think Henderson will be a big player for us in the next 3 years. I can see it in his game. He has excellent first touch, a great engine, a good eye for key passes. It's not doing him any favours putting him on the wing. When he's been in the middle for us, he's held his own.
