Well you should be proud that ManUtd are still in the title race despite how well City have been.

At the end of the bawbag, you have a young squad. You could maybe strengthen the bawbag with new faces in the summer. And yep, they will keep buying until their bawbag is the best in the country, they are here to stay alright.

Why even bring this into the discussion, Daniel?Danny wrote:How long till you mention my hormones?
As I have been saying, you are fixated upon and obsessed with the idea of hormones, and until you learn to suppress these urges, you will never mature spiritually or mentally.

As I have said for numerous years, United would be a far more successful team if they had more players of the calibre of Dimitar Berbatov that can match his passing and possession game. Watching the majority of the United players attempt to play a quick passing game is embarrassing at times, it is surprising that Ferguson is willing to let Dimitar Berbatov go this summer when it would be preferable to build the team around him.
My friend, please refrain from non-constructive remarks and debate the entirely plausible reasoning I have given that could have seen United have far more success over the years. If Ferguson had changed his philosophy to match those of the modern game, and become more of a possession team, surely he would have Dimitar Berbatov at the spearhead seeing that he is the master of possession football. We have seen in recent years possession football become very successful, Dimitar Berbatov is United's best player at keeping possession. Clearly had he been a more instrmental cog at Uniited this year, United would have been more successful.

Managers shouldn't be untouchable. Just look at Arsenal.
We have been in a transitional period since 2009. What are we supposed to be transiting to?

A side that doesn't rely on the old guard, and in particular, Giggs and Scholes would be a start

Res, I don't know what you're unhappy about.
You're still in the driving seat for the title, yeah you bombed out of the CL but you reached the final in the season prior, sacking Fergie won't instantly solve your problems.

Since 2009, you have gotten to 2 CL finals and won the Premier League every season if I'm not mistaken. Now your team can't rely on certain aging players as much.

I'm unhappy about the pathetic performances. I'm unhappy that our ambitions have plummeted from being the best team in Europe to being one of the best in England, and that we are supposed to be happy with that. I'm unhappy with our reliance on OAPs. I'm unhappy with Ferguson's shit tactics. I'm unhappy with Ferguson's shit transfer policy, which dictates that the only midfielder we can bring in from 2007 onwards be Paul Scholes, and that we should instead rely on a fat Brazilian playboy and a Scottish player who suffers from a chronic bowel disease and was only really good for kicking people in the first place.

As has already been pointed out to you, Chelsea won the Premier League in 2010. Our transition began in the summer of 2009, since then we have won one Premier League due largely to Chelsea selling a lot of their squad and Arsenal being so fucking pathetic, and reached one Champions League Final where we were utterly outclassed and Ferguson was out-thought by going through a midtable Bundesliga side, Marseilles and the aforementioned Chelsea team. So again - where are we transiting to?

Since we went 8 points clear, we've won once. City have won all 4 games.

What do you mean what are you transitioning to? You just said the transitional period began in 2009. I'm saying those transitional periods don't happen overnight and next season should be Ferguson's last to correct things. SAF might not be heading into the right direction, but his achievements of the past few season (even if it's because of the failures of others) should merit him another try.

I mean are we in transit back to the top of the European game or into a side who sees 4th place as an achievement. The bar was set in Rome and 2009 and this is the third season where Ferguson is absolutely nowhere near it, he's just falling further and further away. You can't defend his midfield dealings.

Yes, transitioning back to the top of Europe. I'm not defending SAF, I'm just saying I think he needs one final season to correct things (particularly when it comes to transfers).

Early reports suggesting Darren Fletcher has retired from football. Nothing confirmed, will hopefully learn more tomorrow.
