As long as he plays regularly he can go anywhere. If Benfica want him to sit on the bench then they can piss off. If they want him to be a first choice left back then they are welcome to get him. He needs to play, if he is going to sit on a bench he might as well stay with us.

But you already have Young, Valencia, Nani, Park and Giggs. I know people have said he could play centrally for United but from what I've seen he's an out-and-out wide player, not like Mata or Silva. Ferguson probably knows best but surely he'd be better off buying a centre-mid or two?
