First he denies it completely and doesn't believe it to be true, then he gets angry about it, followed by hoping something else happened and arguing that it might be a good thing, then he tells us he doesn't care anymore and the occasional I'm saddened by this news comment. Finally he reaches acceptance where he accepts the bad news and still believes in victory.
