Yeah, Torres (a striker) would have done as good a job defensively as Bertrand (a left-back), sure. Honestly, how are you this stupid?

Bertrand hardly got the ball of Robben. What he did do was pressure him into long range shots or rushed passes, something Torres could have easily done with his energetic play. And learn to read, because I never said Torres is as good a defender as Bertrand, but he could have played, in that match, similarly in defense, as well as providing an attacking option for a counter attack, something Bertrand often failed to do.

Torres himself said he wanted to, and could have, played on the wing instead of Bertrand. Even if he couldn't have defended as well, your idiotic mind seems to think that Torres starting = obvious loss. Chelsea easily could have still won, and because you did not start him instead of a 22 year old, he wants to leave.

He doesn't want to leave he just wants to be starting most of the matches which he will do now Drogba has gone.

He said he is going to have a discussion with the club on his role after "broken promises". He says being dropped from the Champions League final was "perhaps the biggest (disappointment) in my life."

"I've felt like they treated me in a way that I didn't expect, not in the way that was spoken of when they signed me."

He said he will then evaluate whether it is worth it to stay at the club.

Doesn't seem to happy to me Neutral

Interview took place after the game. The whole piece will show a guy happy/wounded. At the same time. Like most of us are often I guess

G - In any case, you came to this club to win medals such as this one.

FT - Yeah, the European Championship, the World Cup, the Champions League...There´s a very important game for me, on an emotional level, against Atletico de Madrid in the European Supercup and I´m counting the days until then.

Clearly sounds like he's rushing for the exit door if he's counting the days to the Supercup final.

He doesn't wanna' leave. He's just being a whiney Spanish moaning twat. And it's one thing I've learned about him. He's a self absorbed cunt, it's all about him. Fact is, his dream was to play and win in a CL Final, he didn't even play or contribute. So he's bound to feel pissed off. He's always been the main man, at Atletico and Liverpool, things are different at Chelsea, he doesn't like he's not the centre of it all.

I don't think for a minute he'll leave, but he's clearly not happy. He said its been the worst moment of his life, never mind on the pitch, off it too. He's a young man, with the weight and pressure of the world on his shoulders.

    http://www.eplindex.com/14552/premier-league-team-of-the-year-based-on-statistics-part-1-defence-opta-stats.html/2

The results of the right back comparison show that Ivanovic is the clear winner in the right back comparison, with Zabaleta coming in second

Ivanovic has won 68% of his ground 50-50s this season, which is 5% more than Sagna and 9% more than Walker. He has also won 77% of his aerial 50-50s this season, which is 3% more than Richards and 7% more than Sagna.

Ivanovic has also completed the highest percentage of his passes out of any of the right backs in this comparison as he has completed 83.44% of his passes this season. This is 0.41% better than Zabaleta and 0.45% better than Rangel. He has also been accurate with 30% of his crosses this season, which is 2% more accurate than Simpson and 7% more accurate than Sagna.

Most intriguing part - Gourlay saying

"We may have two big centre‑forwards who score 25 or 30 goals for us next season and then maybe we'll improve on our sixth-placed finish in the league," he said, with a smile.

So it looks like it'll be Torres and Hulk/Falcao/Doumbia, who knows.

If Doumbia in real life is anywhere near as good as he is in FM, then 24mil would be a steal.
