With some of them players they will already be playing in the Champions League or other clubs who are after them will also be in the Champions League and could offer similar wages.

Man Utd, Man City, Barcelona, Arsenal and Real Madrid could. Probably a few other teams like AC Milan, Bayern and Inter. They will still offer good wages and be in the Champions League. Unless we offer 60-70k more as well as paying at least £30 million for that player.
