Who would score the goals? I mean when you win it tends to be because of something special, usually by Van Persie.
He's been in great form for the very long time of 13 months. We've managed without him before and we sure can again..
And when we win it isn't always down to him. Who creates his goals? He scores as many as he does because the team focus on him and getting the ball to him.. 2 years ago we played Arshavin up top and we still managed and we had Fabregas and Nasri out for a bit during that period too.
I don't mean you won't manage to score goals at all, or end up getting relegated or anything. I just don't see you being able to compete with the best, and maybe even second best, in the league without him. He has, for better or worse, become the focal point of your team this season. When he does not perform, Arsenal does not perform.
Arshavin was quite awesome at the time though, he really isn't at the moment and I don't really see how he could pull you through a period like that. The only character I could see stepping up is Chamberlain, heck for all I know he might thrive with Van Perise out and win you games single handedly, he certainly has the quality and mentality for it.

I brought it up because that is an obvious flaw in the team...
Yeah, we're obviously reliant on him to a large extent because he's our best player. Our second best player has been out for the entire season though so that doesn't help either. I don't think anyone doubts that we wouldn't play as well as we do when van Persie is on form as we would if he were to get injured.
Personally I think Van Persie is hindering the club. Not that you should get rid of him, but you really need some more options and attacking points. Chamberlain is doing well, but he's not enough IMO. I find it scary when I can look at Van Perise's performance and know that Arsenal are not going to perform well in this match.
