Very appropriate way for Henry to sign off from Arsenal - by being completely invisible in a big game.

Vermaelen was appalling, but I've been telling you guys that for fucking ages, you just don't listen. You'll still be saying he's a fantastic defender by the end of the next week. Get beaten to a header by Valencia? He was out of position. Get completely bypassed three times for another goal? It's Arshavin's fault for not tracking back. I'm sure there'd be excuses for tonight's debacle, the man seems to be untouchable. Maybe it's because he's a Full Back now and not a centre back.

Harry will manage England at the EUROs, Bale will go to Barca in the summer, Modric will sign a new contract and Adebayor will sign for PSG.

Yeah, don't worry, I'm sure you'll bounce back from this in the FA Cup. It's not as though Arsenal have any history of reacting to elimination from a competition badly.

Tonight's game was again evidence as to why Sagna isn't even close to being the best right back in the league.

"I feel there are a lot of similar players there at the moment,” he told the Telegraph. “It needs to be more diverse.

“You need a few strong characters who can get the team going, in training as well as matches. You also need a few players who can make a difference in terms of scoring goals. I don’t feel there are enough of them."

"You look at the midfield and compare it with ours. We had Freddie Ljungberg, Robert Pires, Ray Parlour – when it wasn’t working for one of the big names, one of these could step up."
