Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Obviously hindsight is 20/20 and we couldn't know we were going to be up 6-1 but that's as good a time as any for a player like Sterling or somebody else to get in.
Wanted Shelvey to get more than he did, too. He didn't really do much though.

I thought Carroll's goal was wonderful.

Carroll has a fucking beast of a left shot. Surely his freekicks could have decent thump on them?

He should take the corner kicks, in my opinion.Jord wrote:Carroll has a fucking beast of a left shot. Surely his freekicks could have decent thump on them?

A lot of players prefer the ball to be moving when they hit it, Paul Scholes for example. Monster of a shot over his career, but he can't hit a dead ball for shit.Jord wrote:Carroll has a fucking beast of a left shot. Surely his freekicks could have decent thump on them?

Hitting the ball well when it's moving or when you're dribbling with it is so much easier than a free kick

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
I reckon if Carroll took a freekick, it would either hit the wall or go over the bar by miles, unless he does it like Alex used to at Chelsea and just blasts it

I don't think Carroll has the technique to get the ball up over the wall and back down in time..

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Carroll would just smash the ball I bet, the penalty he took had no technique either, he just hit it as hard as he could.

I really liked the post-goal hug between Suarez and Carroll. Something special.
