Re: Chelsea FC Official thread
He's playing for the reserves this week, so who knows. I think Norwich is more realistic though.
It's a shame Malouda is so shit and inconsistent, Mata could be moved to the middle if he were any good.

This, would really love a good natural left winger. Any ideas?

Can't think of anyone at all, not realistic ones anyway.Sean wrote:Marvin wrote:He's playing for the reserves this week, so who knows. I think Norwich is more realistic though.

Fuck it, Cole LB. Bertand LW. Sorted. Doesn't need to be someone flashy, just someone to run down the wing, take on players and whip crosses in for Torres. Bertand has a great cross on him.

http://www.sportsvibe.co.uk/news/football/di-matteo-reveals-chelsea-deal-for-cahill-on-the-brink-14732/
Chelsea's assistant manger Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that the club are on the verge of agreeing a transfer for Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill, with protracted negotiations seemingly coming to a belated end.
The 26-year-old central defender has developed a key partnership with current Chelsea skipped John Terry whilst playing for England, and Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas is said to be keen on introducing that partnership to club football.
Arsenal and Tottenham have both been linked with moves for the talented Bolton skipper, but it now seems that Cahill will sign for Chelsea once a number of contractual disagreements are ironed out.
Di Matteo praised the abilities of Cahill, suggesting that he has developed into one of the most impressive defenders in the Premier League, and insisting that Chelsea will be signing a top player.
"A fee has been agreed and there are on-going negotiations for personal terms," Di Matteo recently revealed.
"He has developed into a top central defender in the Premier League. He has made selection for the England team; he's a very good age.”
Cahill looks likely to be Chelsea's only signing of the January transfer window, after Di Matteo continued by suggesting that the coaching team are contented with their current squad that can achieve their goals for the season.
"I wouldn't expect too much to happen in this market. We are happy with the quality we have.”
