Agree completely with this, let the game flow, did not bring out unneeded cards.Great ref.

What a pointless, classless, and disgusting insult to throw about.
It's pertinent. How can the World Cup Final referee be stood on the sidelines while someone who has only been appointed because he had a disease referees the game? How?
Webb was officiating yesterday, I believe.

And if you look at Halsey's yellow cards per game ratio, it has actually increased from the few years immediately before his unfortunate illness scratch And no, it is not pertinent, it is vile and disappointing from a good poster such as yourself.

He doesn't have the balls to send players off any more, he's a coward of a man. If he is only getting games because of his leukaemia then it is pertinent.

He did, it's just the Mancs can't deal with a referee that doesn't give them an unfair advantage.

There was nothing wrong with it. If anything, De Gea was pushing Carroll.

He was getting to referee matches before the illness, big matches as well.

And honestly, just give over. It's a shame you have this reputation, but you bring it upon yourself with comments like this Liverpool vs Man United | FA Cup - Page 29 58503

Obstruction. Did you not see Liverpool's gutter tactics, stationing 2 or 3 players solely to block off De Gea? Clearly unfair impedement.

Maybe that's the way to go about things, but correct me if i'm wrong, the rules state that all two-footed tackles should warrant a red card? If that's the case then Maxi should've been sent off, end of story.

That's not the fucking rules, honestly they're not hard to come by, just Google for 'Laws of the Game', you can read them in less than an hour.

I may have a quick scan through later, but i swear i've heard on numerous occasions people saying two-footed tackles MUST warrant a straight red. Laughing

You wouldn't, but it's still allowed. Someone like say Van Der Sar would have had the upper body strength to push him away and get to the ball, and somene like Vidic or Rio would have had the positional sense to stop the ball from getting to Agger.

If anything it was a good tactical move by Liverpool.

It was good tactics, but it was poor refereeing to allow those unsporting tactics to prosper.

It was bad marking that made it successful. Teams have tried to do that against us for years, usually Rio, O'Shea or Vidic have been marking the player that marks the goalkeeper to open space for him. It's a perfectly legitimate tactic, which we should have been able to fend off. Our marking was simply terrible on both goals.
