Wisla was in the Champions League, and made it farther than Celtic in Europe. What the fuck have Celtic done?

Champions League qualifiers is not the same as the Champions League you mong. And if Wisla had been in Celtic's group they would have come bottom with no points, rather than a point off qualification like we were.

Anyway, if you think he would turn down the chance to move to Celtic you're a fucking dumpling. If there's other teams interested maybe not, but there's no chance anyone would rather stay at Wisla than go to Celtic. We're more ambitious, can offer more money, have more fans, a bigger stadium, more history and will play in the Champions League next year.

Are you a Wisla fan? I've always preferred Legia tbh.

But seriously, even Slask who are second in your league lost Fojut to us on a bosman way before the season had even ended.

And? Slask aren't going anywhere special atm. Laughing

League place means fuck all. This isn't the shitty SPL where the same two teams come first and second every season. Lech and Wisla are stronger than 95% of the teams(ie; all but Legia) in the league and look where both our teams are atm. Laughing

The joys of having a league that is competitive I suppose. Smile

If you want to compare countries I think you should start comparing from the bottom up. I wonder which is beter; III Liga or Scottish Division Three? Scottish divsion three has no relegation.

Last season that neither Rangers or Celtic finished in 1st or 2nd place? 1964/65 Kilmarnock won the league and Hearts finished 2nd.

Last time Górnik Zabrze, Wisła Kraków, or Ruch Chorzów were not 1st or 2nd? (only clubs to win the league 10 times or more) 2007/08. Zagłębie Lubin won the league and GKS Bełchatów finished 2nd.

SPL lower divisions are probably better. They have 100 years of history, established youth intake etc. Their attendance figures of lower division sides compared to population of the town/area probably shits on us.

Things will change though, as our league becomes more established in Europe and our clubs regular European competitors and with more foreign interest in our league investments in youth and training facilities, not to mention the plethora of new stadiums and rapidly rising attendance figures. Our league will surpass SPL (which it already has) and go far beyond. Just a matter of time.

SPL however. Laughing They are going to the grave. I hope for Rangers sake they do somehow liquidate and enter the English League system.

Luis Suarez cares a lot more about Poland than I do Scotland. For me, as long as Celtic are better than any Polish team (which they are, comfortably)then I'm happy. The rest of the Scottish league might be worse than the Polish one but that's not such a priority to me.

Big fucking woop. You are better than a Polish side. rofl (And even that is questionable, as far as I am concerned, Legia would shit on Celtic) Is this how much SPL and the OF has fallen to that you have to compare yourself to Polish sides?

If Polish teams are as good as you say then why speak with such disdain about what it takes to be better than them? The SPL isn't going to the grave anyway. Since 2007 the yearly coefficient has been if anything improving.

    Yes, It's improving.

Because Polish teams are improving yearly. They are not there yet, yet at the same time you guys seem to have fallen so far that you must compare yourselves to us. rofl

Celtic fans don't compare their team to Polish ones you deluded knobwart. Most of us don't even know any of them. I'm only doing so for the sake of this argument.

And how can you deny that, bar the first entry, those coefficients show a trend of improvement?

    Improvement?

It means that since Rangers run in 2007/08, your teams have struggled to get to the Group Stages, and if they did, they struggled in the group stages themselves. facepalm

    Take a look at Poland's:

    Poland 1.666 5.000 2.125 4.500 6.625

Now that is an improving coefficiency.

Now take a look at Cyprus:

    Cyprus 2.666 6.333 4.250 3.125 9.125

    More improving coefficiency.

Take a look at Israel's now:

    Israel 2.375 1.750 7.250 4.625 6.000

    Yet more improving coefficiency.

Now take a look at Scotlands once more:

    Scotland 10.250 1.875 2.666 3.600 2.750

    That is a FAILING coefficiency.

    Yours is flatlining. Laughing

And anyway, that's not so much a reflection on Celtic as it is the SPL. Scotland only has two teams contributing to it each year, whereas Poland's quality is spread more evenly.

    Flatlining?

    Ours is improving.

Yours is the one that is flatlining, especially given that next year the results of 2007/08 would be erased from existence.

Your coeffiency will look more like 29th placed Bulgaria's:

    Bulgaria 2.750 2.250 3.125 4.625 1.500

Actually worse than Bulgaria's as a matter of fact....

Looking at some of these European results for Polish sides and some were really ugly, a few years ago Wilsa lost to FK Qarabağ of Azerbaijan in a Europa League qualifier.

Wisla has shown improvement throughout the last few years, culminating in our league title and run in Europe this season. Celtic have plateaued if anything. That is how outsiders will see it as anyway.

Celtic is a rich club, and that is the main advantage they have over us, seeing as our facilities are now top class following recent investments.

Yah, we had some incidents. Embarassed

If I remember, we decided to play our youth+reserve team against them as our first team was in a training camp or something. Other results like Jagiellonia's defeat to some random Kazakh team is nearly failworthy. Jagiellonia are shit though.

Atleast we had other Polish teams carrying us those years. Laughing Now though, I think the top teams are more 'professional' you can say, don't think it would happen again and you can count on more consistent results in Europe like this season. Rome wasn't built in a day.

Is this a reasonable comparison? Porto and Benfica are fantastic sides regularly in Europe and Portuguese Liga's quality is thousands times better than SPL.

Lech and Wisla just went through a managerial change and need to strengthen their squads atm so maybe, but Legia would shit on Celtic.

Suarez hasn't seen Celtic play in years if ever, so he reverts to numbers and statistics because he has no knowledge of the SPL.

The comparison is there, a world renowned side, or a shitty unknown side in a league with a better coefficient, in your case a coefficient marginally better

I'd guarantee Motherwell to destroy any of your teams, did Dundee United not almost beat one of your best teams this year? 3rd side in the SPL would win Ekstralaksskajs

Dundee United were very unlucky not to beat Slask in Euro qualifiers, I think they missed a penalty. Watched the game and United totally bossed it. Slask are joint top of their league as well.

Terrible but joint top of your league? Sounds about right...

Dundee United were not really bad, they destroyed Slask. Nothing short of a miracle that they went through. True, they're not a great team (we beat them 4-0 today) but they're still good enough to be in with a shout of winning your league.
