I think we have a very good defence at the moment though.
Enrique and Johnson are very good going forward and very good at the back, the latter being slightly underrated in that department. Skrtel is a great stopper and is finally fulfilling the promise he had after his first season, Agger's just quality, a brilliant sweeper. When fully fit we have a great defence. Johnson and Agger appear to have turned a corner with their injuries while Skrtel and Enrique are fairly reliable. Apart from back-up in the event of Agger getting an injury I can't see why we need Cahill. I doubt he'll want to be sitting on the bench too.
