New Kits 2012/13

CELTIC Football Club is delighted today to unveil its new away kit, which will be modelled by Gary Hooper, Charlie Mulgrew and Kris Commons - the goalscoring heroes from Sunday’s win against Rangers - at the official launch at Lennoxtown today.

And as you can see, from this exclusive photograph on the official Celtic website (above), it´s another impressive Nike kit.

The 2012/13 season is set to be an extraordinary one, as Celtic Football Club, founded in 1888 will be celebrating its 125th anniversary. Nike has created special kits for this anniversary.

The away jersey is a modern classic, inspired by the club´s proud history. The jersey focuses on a contemporary design – it stays true to Celtic’s roots and is hooped, but in a more tonal way.

The hoops are coloured anthracite with black, giving the jersey a very contemporary and sophisticated look. The club crest is surrounded by a Celtic-knot work. The club’s Irish heritage is reflected with green, white and gold colour accenting on the sleeves and the socks which reflect Celtic’s strong Irish roots.

Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said: “We´re delighted with the new away kit for next season and we are sure it will be popular with our supporters. We very much look forward to celebrating our 125th year and the kits which have been developed are a fitting tribute to this milestone season.

"Once again, we would like to thank both Nike for their work in this regard and, of course, Tennent´s our shirt sponsor with whom we have enjoyed an excellent relationship and who have made such an important contribution to the club."

Steve Annand, Commercial Managing Director for Tennent Caledonian Breweries, said: “As main club sponsor, with an almost 40-year association with Scottish football, we were proud to play our part in the development of the new home shirt and feel this new away kit will be another winner with the fans.

"We look forward to working with the club and the fans to mark Celtic’s 125th season, a great milestone in the club’s history.”
