Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Personally I'd probably keep Fergie over Rooney. Fergie made this club into what it is, and his reputation is unquestionable in world football. I would say Rooney is probably the best player England has produced since Gazza, but he is by no means irreplaceable.

We lost Cantona, we lost Ruud, we lost Ronaldo...We still kept on winning titles because of Ferguson..So yeah, I'd choose Ferguson over Rooney.

if you overpunish, they wont do it again. if they do, then you punish em again, if they keep doing it you throw them out the club
What do you think the explanation is? Money? He's the highest paid player at the highest paying team in the world. He was negotiating a move to a Brazilian side earlier this year, and he's said he wants to play for Boca and win the Libertadores.
Yeah, and then you make your best players unhappy, or you lose them from the club altogether. This club still hasn't recovered from the last time it lost its best player, throwing Rooney out would be absolutely catastrophic.

Reports today suggesting Rooney wasn't fit to train. Makes more sense than fining him for going for a meal 5 days before a game.

That would make sense, and if it's due to him doing stuff he shouldn't be I hope he was fined.Kuled wrote:Reports today suggesting Rooney wasn't fit to train. Makes more sense than fining him for going for a meal 5 days before a game.

Remember that Berbatov tackle that started Giggs' goal vs Birmingham last season?

Hernandez needs help with his touch as well, just as bad.

His movement and finishing ability is far superior though.

yeah movement = positioning
finishing has been poor this season tbh. he missed so many against newcastle in the 1st half

Yet it still is among the top 5 in Europe.

My friend, and yet people would lead you to believe that Berbatov is a lazy player who doesn't track back I believe he only lost the ball 2 times against Blackburn on Saturday, and on both occassions he tracked the Blackburn players, excellently dispossessing them and regaining possession.
He could easily have had a hat-trick on Saturday. One where his sublime cross was almost put over his own line by the Blackburn defender, one header which narrowly went over and a 1 on 1 with the keeper had Nani put him through instead of shooting himself
My gut feeling is that Fergie will play Rooney with Hernandez tomorrow, we must certainly hope that this is not the case

Don't think so.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Hernandez has had injury problems and its his 2nd season and players know more about him. But he will come again and start scoring goals, I hope im wrong but i think he will come again and prove he is a class goal scorer as long as United keep making the chances for him.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Yeah it was disappointing, but the players were under massive pressure in that game.
