PSV Eindhoven Technical Director has confirmed that danish Mathias "Zanka" Jørgensen is just a medical checkup from being signed with PSV, if its gonna be a transfer now or in the summer is yet to be determined. The 21 year old defender was given the captains band after William Kvist departure, despite being the youngest on the field in most games he played.
PSV are picking him up despite the fact that he has been injured for most of the 2011/2012 season but should be ready to start when the danish league starts up again, although by then he could very well be in Netherlands if PSV put in enough money.
He is a good defender and needs this move if he wants to be a serious candidate for the national team where we have decent quality already, with Daniel Agger (Liverpool) and Simon Kjær (Roma) being the first choices, Andreas Bjelland (Fc Nordsjælland) and Bo Svensson (Mainz 05) being the 2nd string, He has however had a couple of appearances for the A-squad but all of them due to injuries or in friendly matches. Some may know him from Manager games as he has had very high potential for a few years in those. Personally i hope they can teach him a bit of discipline, he has quite often messed up and allowed goals to be scored on his mistakes, more often than a central defender from the best team in the league should be allowed to.
