However he does make a good point about the "attempted" deliveries. Last time I was supposed to have something delivered by Parcel Force, they didn't even make it up the road to attempt the delivery never mind up the drive.

This is why I use Royal Mail Standard Parcel deliveries.

They seem to have a lot of angry and passionate Sikh drivers who are intent on getting the package to its destination in the quickest possible time.
