Yes would have been great.
His game never really involved pace, his passing is still great along with his range of passing and vision.

The main reason the defence has been so poor is the lack of protection it's been getting from midfield, regardless of Nemanja Vidic. If Ferguson starts picking Carrick, or signs a central midfielder for the first time since 2007, then we should be fine with Smalling. The sale of O'Shea looks like increasingly inspired with every passing day.

Little playing time? In competition with Park, Giggs, Fletcher and Jones I reckon he'd be alright. Probably a good point about little money though, certain people are obsessed with value.ViVaRooney wrote:VDVSpurs11 wrote:

He trained with us last winter.
But Harry said we will not even try signing him.

In a way I wouldn't want him back. The media circus would be round all the players, Carrington, like a swarm of bees, printing crap, potentially unsettling the side. Then there's the part I would love him back, would be great experience for the younger players in training, can do a bit part role, "loves the club".

Yeah, that's a good point, if Man Utd faced a lot of media coverage the pressure would no doubt cause the collapse.moscowmadeit3 wrote:In a way I wouldn't want him back. and this is why he will not come here. am right again
why come here and sit on the bench most of the time and ear little money when you can get THAT.
no doubt he loves man utd but not enough to sacrifice playing as much football and earning as much money

It's okay though, Carroll and Suarez are your strikers, most feared strike force alongside City.Mr Leiva wrote:kyro7 wrote:A partnership of Suarez and Berbatov would be simply sublime.

United have the option to unilaterally extend it by a year.Mr Leiva wrote:Didn't know Berbatov's contract runs out this year.
Because he loves the club, is already extremely wealthy, and would start most games for us in our current shambolic state. The question is why would get play for a manager who battered him and drove him out of the club he loved?ViVaRooney wrote:Splashy wrote:Apparently Becks has accepted a $1 million-per-month offer from PSG.

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
you say anderson and cleverley wont make it yet they already shown earlier in the season how good they can be anderson's ability to run with the ball in the midfield is an extremely effective skill and we miss it every week. his only problem is consistency, that comes with consistent matches which he never got before and now that he has the chance to have it, he is unfortunately injured
Cleverleys simple pass and move style reminds of scholes, as he gets older his range will improve. and also being a box to box midfield makes him a asset in both sides of the game

Re: Manchester United FC Official Thread
Anderson is in his 5th season, it's about time he started getting some fucking consistency. You say getting rid of Hargreaves, Brown and Saha was a good idea because of how injury prone they are, but you back this lazy, obese, cunt?
Cleverley is vastly overhyped, he's yet to play well against a decent, fit, organised side for us. He's notoriously injury prone as well.

A little bit of Chico's broken toes , A little bit of Fergie's whiskey nose. A little bit of Evra crying 'Race' , A little bit of Giggsy's pixie face, A little bit of Vidic seeing red , a little bit of Rooney's baldy head , A little bit of Nani taking a dive , You can see it all on Channel Five!
Thought this was quite good, unfortunately

The guardian:
The Glazers have taken far more out of the club than people realise, in the past 3 seasons Manchester United has had a net-spend of -6M pounds. In contrast Manchester City has spent 253M, and Chelsea has spent 140M pounds. Manchester United in the past 3 years has a netspend that is less than every other big club ( except Arsenal), and even have a lower net spend than Wolves. Since the Glazers took over United has had a lower net-spend than Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham among others (which I already forgot )
So based on evidence Sir Alex and David Gill are fibbing when they say the Glazers haven't affected our spennding power. Note that the net spend does not even take into account our massive revenue stream.

we let beckham go and who did we bring in?? oh some show pony that majority didnt know anything about
you think ronaldo would have developed into the player he became if beckham was there? hell no. he would have started 1 game every 4-5 matches. as a young player you need to start consistently to get consistency

ferguson is a master
to still be successful and reach so many CL finals with that little spending is extraordinary. only arsenal spend as little as us and they barely make the top 4 where as we have been winning league titles.

I hated channel 5.
I hated the games in the Europa league. Especially, the group stages. They were boring as fuck.
