If a essay is supposed to be 3000 words, what would you expect to be the highest word count one would be allowed to go?

I'm on 4000.

3300, although some universities have switched to 3000 being a hard limit, with anything above that being a 0.

Trying to bring it down, but I can't bring myself to just cut-out large chunks. At best I'll get it down to 3500, was 4500 an hour ago.

I always go well over, and spend about 6 hours trying to cut it down.

My VP on FIFA was somehow deleted today in my failed attempt to fix the ea servers on my console.

I might hack it, since i can't be arsed to start from scratch. What do you guys think?

How do they know how many words you done? Couldn't you just photoshop the word count from another document and put it in yours to make it around 3000
