He's still at Manchester City, although he hasn't played in forever, I don't think. I think I'd rather see one of our reserves promoted than have Bridge temporarily filling in.

I'm shitting myself over the possibility of facing Pato, Robinho and Ibrahimovic with a defence that contains Wayne Bridge.

Yeah, it would make things very difficult, plus Abate would run rings around him.

It's a shame that Gibbs has been picking up all of these knocks. I always thought he had a lot of potential.

    Why not Taiwo?

Failed at Milan so far but he's quality, his style fits a lot to the Prem as well.

He won't be able to play against his parent club in the Champions League.

Yea he won't. I'd still rather we signed him though even if he couldn't play, and just played:

    Sagna/Djourou - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Vermaelen

    in the CL.

Taiwo has been pretty crap hasn't he?

Marcel Schmelzer would be the best possible left back we could realistically sign in January tbh.

Realistically? Suspect Cup-tied in the Champions League, integral part of the best team in the Bundesliga and only 23 years of age. Not realistic in the slightest.

My friend I am pretty certain he does not play for Bayern Munich. I also believe he was close to leaving BVB January 2011?
Only 23 years of age is a good thing when talking about Wenger signings right Suspect

But I shouldn't get too picky to early. For all I know we might actually sign Wayne Bridge Cry

Being cup tied in Europe isn't a huge deal. Its not like we're going to go far in the competition anyway. Getting 4th or above should be top priority. Spurs, Chelsea, Utd and City don't look like budging as of right now Embarassed

Was he close to leaving Dortmund last January? I have no idea. The fact that he's 23 isn't a good thing when you consider that Wenger tries to protect the young players that he already has. Buying Schmelzer would "kill" Gibbs' career. As much as I hope that we do sign Schmelzer in January, I don't think there's any chance of the move happening. I also want anyone but Bridge. We should get Nigel Winterburn out of retirement like we did with Lehmann. shifty

It isn't a huge deal, but for a "short-term emergency loan" such a move would be a waste, in my opinion.

Mancini says he wants Bridge to leave in january, so he's defo leaving. If I was an Arsenal fan personally, I wouldn't touch him. Don't rate him any more, was shocking at West Ham. Fucking everybody was just walking past him.

It really wouldn't. We have no left back available at the moment and signing one in January on loan or permanently could mean the difference in finishing 4th or dropping out of the CL spots and probably ruining the short term future of the club.
