Got more chance us taking Mascherano on loan for the rest of the season.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
THE Seasiders were dealt an unfortunate blow ahead of the busy December programme with the news that Liverpool have recalled in-form midfielder Jonjo Shelvey from his loan spell with the club.
The 19-year-old had settled well into life at Bloomfield Road netting six goals in nine appearances and talks were at an advanced stage between the two clubs to extend the player's loan beyond the end of December. However, a knee injury to Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Lucas has meant that the Reds have activated the recall clause and Shelvey returns to Anfield with immediate effect.
A disappointed Ian Holloway told the official website, "Obviously this is a setback to us as Jonjo has done ever so well in his short time with us, we knew that Liverpool had the recall option on him and it was only the unfortunate injury to Lucas that has prompted them to take this course of action. I would like to thank Jonjo for his efforts with us and Kenny for allowing him to come to us, we will be in regular contact with Liverpool about trying to bring him back in January should Liverpool's injuries clear up."

Fulham, QPR, Villa, Wigan, Blackburn, Newcastle are our games up to Jan. I think we can survive without Lucas till then. Then we sign Matuidi.

Spearing played well against Chelsea. Hope he steps up until January. We needed a new CM anyway.

Spearing has played well every time he's played. He might not be as good at tackling, but I reckon he covers more ground than Lucas.

Lucas is normally the holding midfielder, while Spearing is the roamer. Spearing is decent enough as a roamer, not convinced he can hold a midfield.
Be an interesting month, till January.

Can't see Shelvey being the man to fill in for Lucas. Should have left the lad on loan at Blackpool to carry on his progression.

Aren't they doing a scan tomorrow? How can people know how long he's out for until then?

I thought he had too. But every Blackpool fan I've spoken to thinks he's alright. But nothing special and not Liverpool standard. Apparently his shooting is brilliant but his passing it shit. They rate Ince a lot more .

He still closes every fucker on the pitch down. If he does that in a more disciplined role, we'll be fine.

My mate says he can pick a pass really well and he says Ince is talented but lazy and should pass more, pretty much backs up what I've seen of them.Cadbury wrote:I thought he had too. Think a midfield three of Spearing Hendo and Adam should be used.

Re: Liverpool FC Official Thread
Wait, you guys were saying 6-9 months then talking about being okay until January....hinting it's not that bad or that we'd buy somebody to fill in there?
