Oh yeah, all the time. When the parents/fans complain I just ignore them. They are mostly idiots and don't know shit about the rules. When a coach complains, I warn him and then could throw him out. I will share a story from today that probably was my fault.
The teams are tied at 1-1 with 2 minutes left in the match. One team is attacking and the attacker gets fouled just outside the box. I blow the whistle and quickly see the ball roll towards the open net and the attacker's teammate scores (think of the Arsenal v Barca CL final where Lehman got sent off). The players from both teams didn't stop playing when I blew the whistle (maybe they didn't hear me). So I count the goal instead of bringing it back for a foul.
I thought to myself, either way I'm going to get yelled at by one of the teams. I decided to do the "right thing" and give the attacking team the advantage. After the game, a teenager comes up to me asking about the incident. I tell him I played the advantage. He told me "I suck". Then a parent tells us (the referees), "you all should find a new line of work because this one isn't working out for you". My AR replied "neither is parenting apparently". 5 minutes later, his wife comes to me and says "don't you ever fucking say I'm a bad parent". I was like "I didn't say that, that was my AR".

I remember this season when I had an argument with the opposing coach because we scored in the last minute (I coach a team of 11 year olds)
they had spent the whole game attacking and my team had been soaking up the pressure. Then we have these 2 really fast kids (you can rotate players the whole game unlimited subs) so with about 10 minutes left I brought them both off so they could have a breather. Then with 2 minutes left in the game we got a goalkick. I put them on and we had this massive kid (almost as tall as me he was an islander and like nearly 6 foot at the age of 11) and since anybody can take goalkicks I told him to take it and he blasted it over there defenders. Then our 2 strikers ran onto it and passed between each other and scored.
There coach got mad and told me that my team was useless and that we cheated
then one of the parents told him "It's just kids, get over it" and one of the Grandparents on our team hit their coach with her walking stick

I sent off a player for calling me a "donkey's ass" after I made a call against him. He was up in my face and almost physically assaulted me after the match.
Then there was this one time where I almost got punched in the face while I was trying to break up a fight between two women (worst idea ever).
