you should never criticize the ref in FM. doesnt do anything. a few times the media said i was right, but still nothing happens. no FA investigation, no compensation, no replay

What are your opinions on Albert Dladla? His PA is solid for a club of my size (151) and he is willing to come, but I will have to play nearly 800k in compensation and Bidvest Wits want 2.4 million for him as an offer Neutral. I'm pretty terrible at developing young players too, so what do you think? Worth the risk?

Not really. He's about a stat or two too slow to be a good poacher, his strength is far too low to ever become a good target man, and his creativity and passing doesn't seem to indicate he'd be a good second striker either.

I'm an angry old man on FM. Things don't go my way I'll whine about it forever. Even mention it once or twice in the next couple of press conferences. When I get banned I become even worse. Always get into arguements with the FA, and sometimes my own board.

If a player doesn't do as I tell him I sell him for pennies as well. I'm just not a very nice guy on FM Razz

Hmm I need to get back to my Roma save. I was creating an all Italian side. Was pretty good too, just needed a top class goalkeeper.

My Roma save is gone Sad

So.. either I need to start a new Roma save, or find another Italian side to go all Italian with... any italian sides with a fairly good player material to start with? Except for Roma obviously. I'll probably make them my post exams, super christmas game.

Becoming a Legend with Roma is easily the most fun I had with any FM game earlier though think
Becoming a legend with Napoli ranking second, and this despite the fact that most of the time I can not stand the Italian league in football manager for some reason Laughing

He is, but I always think long term on my games. Tend to build squads that don't reach their potential until 3-4 seasons in. Which means that for 3-4 seasons I'm pretty average, and then become sensationally good.

yeah i rarely lose in FM, so all hell breaks lose when i do

i don't blap on refs though, because i don't like being banned. i enjoy having a 100% match attendance

but i still remember in FM11, i was managing everton and i lost 0-4 to sampdoria. tim howard was my vice capt. he made 2 blunders and got 3.6/10 for player rating. i fined him 2 weeks obviously, gave him "the talk", stripped him of the vice captaincy, put him in reserves, transfer listed him, rejected all offers, then in the next transfer window i sent him on loan to some chinese club (one of my feeder teams)

it was a lot of work (on my part), there should be a one touch button for "Send to China"

ironically, arent italy supposed to have the best goalkeepers? Very Happy (after germany of course)

i made roma an all italian side in fifa11, it was fun. for FM, i'm planning to do an all German side for Schalke after my Roma save

Laurencio wrote:any italian sides with a fairly good player material to start with?

juve. they're historically known for being pro-italian. roma easily has the best italian youth though hands down. our primavera won the cup last season so SI really boosted our U-20 players in FM

Braad wrote:Might start a Roma one, whats there budget like? Or might do Blackburn.

terrible budget but plenty of old players you can sell for good cash. buy/loan some players to "get by" for 3 or 4 seasons then you can start raping Serie A with your developed U20 players. make sure you bring back bertolacci (who's on loan at lecce)
