Wow, 56 games Che.
Well done.
-----------------
On my Career side of things, I've started similar to Villas-Boas lost like first 4 out of 7, I'm sure things will pay off.
I'll post a pic of my team soon (At it's strongest) and you can help me if I'm going wrong ie. Player positions.
Well done.

Chivas, Campeon Apertura and Clausura and Campeon de la Libertadores.
I literally won everything there was to win.
By the way, I was just offered a new contract. Does the salary serve any other purpose besides boosting my ego?
They just offered me triple what I was already earning.

Scored three goals from corners in a match.
Carroll, Skrtel and Wilson.
Adam was taking the corners. Groce.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Dumb luck I think, I don't really know what I'm doing in this game half the time.
Which brings me back to some questions I hope the more experienced players can help me with.
Does the salary you get matter at all? Besides the obvious ego stroke that is.
And my payroll is all fucked up, and all last season the team would lose money every month, any advice on how to make it a bit healthier?
By the way, that last problem not my fault at all, when I started the game we were already losing money and in a bad financial situation.(which would explain why they hired a no name 20 something year old coach )
I haven't purchased a single player since I started the same and even got rid off six players, three that were on massive wages.
I don't know did I do something wrong? When you sell a player you don't pay their wages anymore right? I'm scared I fucked up in the contract and I'm still paying that shit or something.

I don't think the Salary matters that much, on FM11 I would get 1 quid a week, but you can't do that anymore.
You'd have to ask Jordi, he seems to be good at running on a profit. My Real Madrid is running at a profit somehow, and if you sell a player, you don't pay their wages unless they say that they'll only leave if you pay some money until the end of their contract but I doubt that happened.

I'm not amazing at running on a profit.
I was playing in the PL with a championship wage bill. The TV revenue kept me afloat.

Same. It must be the massive attendances at Camp Nou and the Bernabeu

You don't make a loss even with half your players on over £120k a week?ahlycotc wrote:I make like £3-5M in profits every month with Barca.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Yeah, getting rid of those players on massive wages helped quite a lot.
By the way I just realised something, even though I won the Copa Libertadores I still won't be able to compete in the Club World cup because Chivas is a Mexican team.

No. I'm well below my wage budget. The attendance and TV money is massive.

Re: The Football Manager Chat Thread!
Dani Alves was on £10M/year wages and his contract was to expire by the end of this season (2015). He is 31 years old and I renewed his contract for an additional year and tried to cut his wage massively. The greedy cunt fought tooth and nail and only accepted £9M in yearly wages after much negotiation. He is my highest earner behind Messi. Messi's contract runs out next year, so I need to cut his wages too. He is on £14.75M a year. With Xavi, Villa, and Abidal leaving at the end of the season, that will free up another £14.5M in wages.

I would of released Dani Alves tbh, Montoya would of been an ideal replacement.
For another Brazilian player Rafael could of been an option.

Dani Alves has been in really good form though. I play Barta and Montoya as backups for Alves. Might have to buy another right back though, because there aren't any good ones in my B squad or my U19s.
