Cant believe Force India have got rid of Sutil, I thought he was extremely good the second half of the season. Glad Di Resta still has a seat though.

Agree with Torro Rosso changing their line up, although I don't think Ricciardo is worthy of a seat from his time in a HRT but then again it is a shit car. Thought Alguersuari done ok, wasnt too kean on Buemi though.

What will happen when Kubica comes back?

On another note, I am quite excited to see what Sky have in terms of the Formula One channel. Hopefully they have former races on all the time, shouldn't be too long until it's in 3D on Sky surely?!

dont forget sutil still getting sue by owner of force india for the fight incident. but indeed he proved hjimself to be excellent driver last season. i hope he gets a seat somewhere else

im angry that jaime was not given another season but by contract its suppose to being 2 seasons limit for all str drivers. but he will go to hrt now

ricciardo didnt do great with hrt but that car is shit but he has more experience since he has at least raced already. both drivers destroyed everyone else when they both did young driver tests last year and the year before so at least the 2 best young drivers outside of gp2 are driving STR

Kubica back in hospital after slip on ice

Polish Formula One driver Robert Kubica, who has not raced since a near-fatal crash last February, was taken to hospital in Italy on Wednesday after slipping on a patch of ice and injuring his leg, the ANSA news agency reported.

The Gazzetta dello Sport website said the 27-year-old had suffered a suspected micro-fracture of his right tibia in what would be a further setback to his return to competition.
The highly-rated Pole is now out of contract with his former Renault team after it was announced last year that he would not be ready to return by the start of the season. His manager Daniele Morelli was not immediately available for comment.
ANSA said Kubica had lost his footing on an icy street in Pietrasanta, near the coastal town of Viareggio and was taken to a local hospital for a scan of his right leg.
The agency quoted medical sources as saying the driver had then left the hospital, saying he wanted to go to the clinic in Pietra Ligure, southwest of Genoa, where he had been treated after his crash.
Kubica spent two months in hospital and had multiple operations after the crash in a minor rally in Italy in which he suffered serious arm and leg injuries when a steel barrier penetrated the cockpit and nearly severed his hand.
The Monaco resident also lost a huge amount of blood while trapped in the car.
Before the February 6 accident, the race winner had been the leading driver at Renault (now Lotus) and was linked to Ferrari as a possible replacement for Brazilian Felipe Massa.
Morelli had said in September that Kubica had good movement in his elbow, forearm and wrist and was regaining strength and functionality.

That's an amazing broadcasting lineup, jesus. Kravitz, Brundle and Davidson, top notch. I'll have to stream that.
So Kubica's done himself in again, the guy should just stay at home until he's healed up.

    rofl

Ferrari vice chairman Piero Ferrari says Formula One needs to hold onto its European races as they are "important" to the sport.

In recent years, Formula One has moved away from Europe, branching out into Middle East and Asia.

This has meant the cancellation of several traditional grands prix while more face the chopping board.

The Belgian GP is in talks to alternate with France, which has not been on the calendar since 2008, while Barcelona is considering its future in F1.

However, Ferrari, the son of the company's founder, says F1 must retain its classic European races.

"We feel F1 has to be a worldwide Championship, so it is natural to have this outside Europe," Ferrari told Autosport.

"What I regret is to miss some important grands prix, like the grand prix of France, and if we miss other grands prix like this, this will be a shame. I am not in favour of reducing the number of European grands prix.

"For us, Silverstone is a really important race, like Monza, and Spa, and every year you see fantastic races there, so I hope not to miss those races."

He has a good point. All these races out in the desert are bore-fests. Singapore is a shit race having it at night does not make it anymore exciting.

I think we need to go back to France with it's F1 history and all that but not at Magny-Cours it is a shit track Simples Maybe at Paul Ricard scratch

    BBC have revealed their team:

Jake Humphrey remains as presenter, alongside chief analyst Eddie Jordan and co-commentator David Coulthard, while Ben Edwards joins as commentator.

Experienced F1 car designer Gary Anderson has been recruited as technical analyst, while Lee McKenzie remains as pit-lane reporter.

James Allen becomes Radio 5 live commentator, joined by Jennie Gow as radio pit-lane reporter.

Shit's on Sky's list tbh. Eddie Jordan ran his own team, Coulthard was a successful driver and Gary Anderson has designed cars across all forms of open wheel racing not just F1. Besides Martin Brundle Sky's are just normal presenters with the exception of Anthony Davidson who managed to crash into a beaver facepalm

Rumours are Ferrari & McLaren both have the sidepods split from the side impact protection & thus a split floor

Split sidepods\floor: This creates a shorter floor & moves downforce rearwards to compensate for the loss of EBD

not worthy He's still driving last years car, because Merc are worried someone will steal their wing design. Ferrari/Mclaren had a poor day also but tbh I never read much into the testing. You never get a full idea of each cars performance until the 1st qualifying session.

Both the Red Bull & Torro Rosso in 2nd and 3rd Run The 2 fastest 2012 cars, they were 4th and 5th yesterday as well, this could be interesting to watch.

Not interested in these times in the slightest. Ill have a look in Qualifying 1, 2 and 3 in Melbourne.

Cant wait for the new season though, excited for the Sky channel. Brundle has wanked about it on his twitter a few times already.
