However, that was a FANTASTIC Suzuka! Congrats to Vettel and Button, and Alonso for a 2nd place finish again getting everything out of the car. Brilliant F1 racing today.

Fuck off do the BBC protect him. Love how Webber can over take someone in qualifying, not even a single mention. Yet when Hamilton does it, the world goes fucking mental.
Every little thing he does, investigated. Fucking bollocks.
Congrats to Vettel anyway.

hamilton was in 2nd gear in a section of track when he should of been in 7th
he went on his outlap at normal pace till 130R and then suddenly slowed down
either he had no intention to do another lap and just wanted to slow webber and schumacher down or he was like jordan said, lazy and didnt bother to look in his mirror and/or didnt listen to his engineer who should of been telling him to hurry up
of course webber is going to overtake him. he had fresh tires and wanted to do another lap, he shouldnt have to wait for someone traveling at walking pace. webbers engineer and michaels engineer had told them how much tim ewas left so they wanted to get a move on but hamilton slowed them down
overtaking someone in qualifying while they are on a hot lap is against common curtsey but overtaking someone on an outlap, there is nothing wrong with this. is just hamilton made things even more worse when he basically parked his car on the apex of the chicane. it was reckless
in singapore when he try to overtake massa was completely different! massa had another car infront of him that was on their hotlap so he didnt want to overtake and there was still many time in qualifying but hamilton lose patience. even if hamilton passed massa it would of been pointless because his engineer would of told him to leave the guy infront a lone because hes doing a time

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
is why traffic is so crucial to times in qualifying
sometimes u will get no luck and run into group of cars on your best lap. the most unluckiest i remember this season is alguersuari who was driving crazy and was going for top 10 but bunch of hrt cars going slow on the last turn ruin his lap...he was angry but he acknowledge this will happen sometime. but u should never ruin someone else qualifying is common curtesy in racing
remeber when schumacher park his car on last turn in monaco to stop alonso from making quicker lap but pretend that he stalled his car, that is probably worse way to do it and im no say hamilton did the same, hamiltons for me seems more like a mistake whereas schumacher 100% intentional but my point is that it has similar effect to other drivers

As long as it can be more competitive next year at the top, then I'll be happy.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
and stewards arn't, no? Some consistancy wouldn't go a miss.Bye_Ya wrote:Walcott, you're so blindly biased. Just sayin'.
Even today, Vettel at the beginning of todays race:
Stewards have the power to impose various penalties on a driver if he
commits an offence during a race. Offences include jumping the start,
causing an avoidable accident, unfairly blocking another driver,
impeding another driver when being lapped, speeding in the pit lane, or
gaining an advantage by leaving the track.
So Vettel driving into the side of Button isn't whats bolded? Fucking bollocks. 100% guarenteed, if Lewis Hamilton was doing this = drive through penalty.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
I agree that Vettel's move should have been penalized. And yeah, Lewis would most likely have been punished, but he has more of a reputation for that kind of thing, especially this season.

at least vettel apologize for it, multiple times in public and to jenson personally

It's easy to apologise when you don't get done for it, you wouldn't be as bitter.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
All I can hope for is that Vettel doesn't dominate next year now. There have been some really good races and moments this season, but it's all been spoiled by the fact that the world title was already in the bag. Let's face it. Vettel had practically sealed it after a few races.

that was great battle between hamilton and webber really exciting but i feel sorry for webber being pitted when he could of won the race but i guess red bull wanted easy way out in term of constructor championship and rather vettel win

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
That race was probably my most nervous one yet, delighted Lewis got 2nd. Nice defending too, he's never usually been too good at that.
Bit annoyed how the stewards didn't penalise Vettel in qualifying though. They say he didn't gain an advantage but he clearly did because he managed to do another qualifying lap.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
that was interesting but i do not know what to think of it
what about alonso he was so fast at the end of the race on very old tyres
if massa didnt slow him down he could of easily won race only vettel was able to have better pace and that was just from one lap, alonso had like 8 or 9 consecutive fastest laps he was crazy and u can tell he was furious with ferrari allowing massa to defend like that lol a bit like when hamilton defended against him when they were at mclaren in the us grand prix but massa was just slow and for what? 6th place lol
"i give up"

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
Jake Humphrey from BBCF1 tweeted about it. This must mean another race off the calender so New York can come in.
Also Martin Brundle has had offers from Sky and BBC for next season. Hope he does both, with Coulthard.

Re: Formula 1/ Walcotts thread.
hmm i dont know im never fan of street circuits
im sure it will look cool driving in new york but i dont think so much for racing
valencia and singapore already waste of space and i dont like the look of that one, very little long banking turns which seperate formula 1 from other classes because of the downforce reqquirement. that track looks more like indy car track and the overtake areas seem all to be with slow corners that will rely on outbraking....is just not my taste
with usa gp in austin i dont see how it is possible for this gp to exist anyways. the russian gp will come before any others
