Developers have had this for a while now. The reason they don't use it is because consoles and pc's are not fast enough to render billions of polygons per second and say black ops used this fully polished off etc it would be about 150gb + and a super pc to run.

Interesting. I'm sure devolopers have had this idea for a few years now though. The problem is that not everyone owns super mega fast computers to run and game with billions and billions of atom's. A much easier and cheaper way is to just carry on with what they have been doing and slowly increasing the number of polygons each year.
