No. They're very rare. That series in general was extremely rare. Game 5 of that series was more what you expect from NHL hockey, NHL playoff hockey in particular. A tight 3-2 Penguins win punctuated by good, physical hockey and top-notch goaltending.

Very rare. I'd say most games have about 4-5 goals.

    That's what I figured.

What are your opinions on fighting? Should it be banned?

It shouldn't be banned. Fights are fun. Crowds love them. They add excitement. I don't know if you have ever seen a sporting event at Madison Square Garden, for example. The atmosphere there is usually amazing. But during fights, the intensity multiplies. Check this out:

Well considering it's the only sport where you can bare knuckle fight and only get a minor penalty for it, I think it's time that it is taken out of the game. I like fighting like anyone else but let's be realistic, it's pretty barbaric. If you want to see a fight, watch UFC or Boxing where you have 2 willing participants who have been training for the fight.

If the NHL in particular and most of North American hockey in general had any resolve, they would ban fighting outright once and for all.

    I think I agree with Kelloggg8. There's just something...wrong about it.

It's a major penalty. 5 minutes in the box, no getting out. Granted, it's not suspension worthy.

    Yup. And?

If you want to see a fight, watch UFC or Boxing where you have 2 willing participants who have been training for the fight.

But if I want to see a fight and a hockey game, I'll go to a hockey game.

Nah. Fighting rules. Did you hear the MSG crowd in that clip I posted? Fans and players alike love it. It's never really seriously injured anybody either.

What is even going on now, I heard we're supposed to start back up early November or something but now I'm hearing it might not happen.

Ha! No idea but I know I'm not watching absolutely any NHL even if comes back for quite a few years. I suggest everyone does the same even just this year and next if it does get cancelled entirely.

    My team is shit anyway.

    Fuck dat last game

    6-5

    fuck

poor defence from the Bruins, I was annoyed. If we had have cut out the silly mistakes we would be going to Chicago with a 3-1 lead, in the box seat to bring the Cup back to Boston. Could have won it at TD Garden in Game 6 (we can still do that though)

inb4 people say I bandwagon Boston

nop, I just happen to support every Boston based team. I have bandwagon on Tuukka Rask though, fuck me he is clutch.

Ice Hockey is a great sport, it has everything I like in a sport, it is fast paced, there are big hits and lots of action. It is marvellous, only problem is at times you can't see the puck. But who cares, great sport. I like Ice Hockey, I was really into it a couple of seasons back but I have no idea what happened last season with me and my Ice Hockey love
