Has anyone heard about this. It's a free FPS for playstation. Meant to be good and it's linked somehow to some PC game, so like you fight for people on that game.

This sounds like the most innovative shit ever. I've heard a lot about EVE and was interested in it for a while but getting into an MMO a month late is hard, let alone 8 years. If the FPS play can match some of the popular titles I'm sure this will be a success. Plus is free so...

Fucking hell, you have to download 2gb worth of shite from PSN, then when you press the game you have to download a 2.2gb update.

The games alright actually. Haven't played it properly but it seems nice.

It uses the same model as a lot of mobile apps now. It's free to download and play but it will take you ages level up your shit. It's a lot easier to buy in game currency then buy better guns and armour and that.

Freemium games are the devil, I will never play this shit.

Edit: Yeah apparantly it's open Beta now.

I'll check it out; I suck at FPS and havent played one in years but this integration with EVE has me intrigued.

Something about hacking key locations. Managed to sneak in behind all the action and start the process at one location before someone popped a cap in my ass.

The instructions are pretty sketchy though.

This has nothing to do with Dust but apparently over the weekend there was a massive battle in EVE that cost thousands of real world USD (in a weird exchange rate), looks cool as fuck, I've only played one MMO and big battles were awesome, always wanted to play eve but by my experience with MMO's if you're late and w/o connections don't bother.

Yeah I saw that. Apparently the total damages for one team amounted to around $2800 real money.

So worth downloading or not?
