Yeah, Resident Evil controls takes time to get used to at first.
But once you do it becomes pretty natural. Only thing I'm having trouble with is turning 180 degrees quickly. I imagine there is a set of buttons like in previous games but I just haven't figured them out yet.

I played primarily Gears of War and they pretty much had the TPS genre perfect (despite crappy gameplay mechanics in Gears 2-3) Ghost Recon Future Soldier was also very fluid, unfortunately I don't have time to learn horrible controls for a game I will only play for a week or two.
