F1 2012

They're actually releasing a demo?

Probably won't get it, don't think I've played 2011 enough. Depends how much I could get for that and a few other things though, and how cheap I can find 2012.

I just left mine to download.

Different camera angle in the car. Haven't worked out where it tells me how much KERS I've used/whether I've opened my rear wing with the in car one (angle where the steering "wheel" tells you your speed and gear).

They show the podium at Monza in the build up to the "race" too. Better celebrations?

I'm still annoyed theres no lap before the race where you go around and warm the tyres n shit.

I like there's random problems with your car though, DRS, KERS or punctures may occur.

Didnt play F1 2012, but Im getting used to the demo with the racing assists on. Gonna get it Friday!

Dispatched first class today. Hopefully come a day early, usually does with ShopTo. It did last year, and the year before.

Haven't playd the demo a lot, even with all the assists the car isn't as stable as F1 2011's. I hope upgrades during the season and visually noticeable too, and more difficult to get. Beating a lap time is boring, maybe 3 consistant lap times within a second of eachother.

Kind of gone off this since Fifa has come out. Still super fucked me off when theres cunts on the racing line not moving anywhere going really slowly, other than that it's great.

The fuck is all of this understeer about? You can't throw the car around whatsoever. You cut it hard and it's like the car drifts or something. No acceleration out of corners, and they force you to brake way too early. Game seems shit so far.

Im glad I dont understand F1 like you lot, thats probably why I like this game so much.

I still like it, but the handling makes no sense. I played a lot of rFactor which is a more hardcore sim, and this is just totally different. Setups make no sense. Wings 11 front 1 rear still has understeer. Actually, can't call it understeer, really they just disabled spins for the most part. What it actually is is that you can't have oversteer, which is hard to get used to.


Alright, off to do a 100% distance career cause I'm like that.

Is this game any good? I bought F1 2010 for the xbox when it came out, wasn't overly impressed with it though.

Oh yeah, it has DRS and KERS, but they're basically just speed boosts

Helluva lot better than F1 2010, but still reserved for more hardcore F1 fans, IMO. If that's you, then you will like it. I think it's easily their best installment yet. Working on gold for all the Time Attacks.

It's got a few good new modes as well

Been recording some time trials. Just hit 88th on the PC boards with this one.
