Off to Vitesse! - Mvan's Story Empty Off to Vitesse! - Mvan's Story

So, ive decided to start a new game at Vitesse, and was surprised at what I had been given to start with. I was given AUS$24mil transfer budget, and AUS$530k wage budget, despite the team only currently using around 250k.

First things first, was a clear-out of the staff, and high class staff being brought in.

Next, the players, and the start of my story; one of concentration on youth development and the race to be the underdog champions of Holland, and possibly Europe.

    So, first signings were:

    Jose Luis Acosta (Free Transfer)
    Clement Grenier (AUS$7.5mil from Lyon)
    Oliver Korch (Free Transfer)
    Victor Pineda (Free Transfer)
    Juan Pastore (Free Transfer)

The style of play im looking to employ is a fluid and fast/uptempo, passing and possession based game.

Playing a 4-2-3-1, with two wingers and a CAM, instead of three CAM's. Grenier's stats were amazing to play as the CAM in a playmaker role, and hes pretty pacey too, so im really looking forward to using him.

First game of the game, was a friendly against AGOVV -

Starting line-up was filled with non-regulars, and some youth with injures and lack of players affecting the Starting XI. Expect to see alot of transfer activity.

Grenier starts from the bench in a game that never really got going for us. We created more opportunities for ourselves when Grenier had finally got on the pitch at half time.

His impact wasnt enough, and we lost the game 1-0 after a sub-par strike from AGOVV's Renee Troost in the 51st minute.

Next game is home against Chelsea, and should see the supporters come out in large numbers to try and cheer us on for the upset.

Game against Chelsea sees Hofs out with an injury, so Grenier starts in the CAM position.

We were in control for a decent amount of time in this game, against really a second string Chelsea team, with Bertrand, Romeu, Ake, Clifford and Piazon etc.

Grenier got a goal early on in the 28th minute, and we looked the better team from there. Jenner scored the second goal from a nice cross, with his head, left Cech with no chance.

Brilliant game, and a brilliant performance infront of 18,102 at the Gelredome.

    Transfer news:

    Yesil Samed (AUD$1.8mil)
    Robin Yalcin (AUD$1.7mil)
    Ryan Donk (AUD$3.5mil)

Donk I believe could really be the deciding factor in our race for the title. A rather under-rated player, who hasnt seen much international time recently, yet who should possibly be reserve for the National team. Hes comes into replace some of the older CB figures in the team who have been they can look else.

He was pretty big a few years ago, forgotten about recently Mad

In other news, we signed Van Aanholt from Chelsea permanently, after having him in on loan, as Chelsea is a parent club of ours, (AUD$2mil)
