I highly recommend that you listen to her music, if you are a fan of Indie and Folk. Her voice is very unique.
She will be on the Isle Of Wight soon, at the Bestival. So, if I get a ticket I will check her out.

I just thought that I would make a thread to help her gain more publicity.

The music she makes isn't really Indie, to be honest. However, it's a quite a vague musical term, because pretty much everything could be called 'Indie'.

It's more soft rock. I suppose.

Pretty good. And I don't like "indie" being used as a term to describe a brand of pop music. Indie is someone who is not signed to a major record label.

I assume she isn't signed to a big label, yet.
But yeah, your right. The word Indie has lost all of it's meaning. It's just a musical genre now, it doesn't really mean independent.

    Rather bland from my perspective.

At times, I would have to agree with you. I think her music is enjoyable when I'm in the mood for listening to something soft. At the moment, this is case.

My perspective being the key, I sort of need to have an edge to the music.

Agreed. But personally, I think that there is a kind of rawness to her sound. If that's what you mean.
