After brief consideration, my prediction for Sabine's match:
If it goes 3 sets, Lisicki will win. Otherwise, Stephens in 2.

Yessss.
Sabine wins the match and Maria takes the first set 6-1, good times.

Why are you looking for something to display your vintage verbal reactions? Not seemly for an Admin to wish death at whim, seriously.

Cricket should not be televised.
What was witnessed last night could never be matched by Cricket.. incredible sport is Tennis, as good as Football.

Just a series of volleys back and forth, watched by a sparse, docile crowd, punctuated on rare occasion by good displays of technical ability which doesn't carry far enough to make the game a watchable affair.
I'd never go beyond watching the highlights.

If you have the patience and attentiveness, Test cricket is a viable option. But I would still recommend 50 over matches. 20 over ones are too arcadish and crowd-pleasing.
Definitely better when one has played the game, it's difficult to get into.

I have played pickup matches with my Irish friends, and I have watched highlights before. I might get a book to learn about the history, rules, etc.

Give this a watch if you haven't. Fantastic spectacle of a match. Probably the pinnacle of all ODI matches.

Did you mean rallies? Because you actually have a point if you meant that some long rallies are boring to watch

Re: The tennis thread.
One break means nothing in a Sharapova match, if anything holding serve is key.
