My local court was closed years ago, and the nearest public one is a 45 minute bus journey away.

There's 4 good and well looked after courts 2 minutes from my house.

Thing is I have no one to play with....everyone I know who isn't at uni sucks big time Neutral

Used to go to lessons for 3-4 years but just can't be bothered now.

where do you live? sounds like a hoot...

surely there are courts everywhere in the UK?

Yes but the nearest public one has been closed for years and doesn't even have a net anymore. There's plenty of clubs not too far away but I don't fancy paying for a membership when I wouldn't be looking to play seriously.

Oh yeah, forgot the local cricket club which also has like 10 tennis courts...but forget that Dry Smile

Before these new ones we had like 6 courts 10 minutes away...and they were a dump. It ended up becoming a place for random Eastern Europeans to play "foot tennis" as it was so run down.

Chip will be delighted - first her R2 opponent retires and the #10 seed (who she would've played in R3) just got knocked out by a scrub.

Goerges could definitely be a surprise quarter finalist

I'm not watching at the moment, who's taken the MTO?

And it's a problem in both men's and women's tennis tbh. Djokovic was the queen of MTOs before his run last year.

Saw the words "photo shoot" in her tweet this morning, and thought, ooh this could be good, might be able to see what Chip sees in her.
