Luke Evans is very good at what he does, might be the legolas of the Hobbit #nohomo Like his voice, same goes for many actors here.

Don't really fancy too much Legolas screentime, I cannot abide the notion of Tolkien's work being taken so liberally. Treat it like the bible. Most of all though, I want Beorn to absolutely dominate his scenes.

Legolas was probably one of the worst characters in the films. The only thing that ever came out of his mouth was the blatantly obvious.

Hell, they would have dragged in Viggo Mortensen da gawd into this, if he hadn't pointed out he wasn't in the book. And Gimli, if he didn't have nasty allergic reactions to dwarf makeup. Got everyone else in though, as they would.

Aragorn and Legolas are referenced in the Hobbit, when the story is being told of how they captured Gollum.

My memory is hazy as to whether or not Legolas played a big role when Bilbo went to Mirkwood, but I can imagine that Legolas would've been there at some point. Thranduil's son and all that..

And yeah, they glossed over so much shit in the first film. I already mentioned how pissed I was with the way they treated Radagast. That's totally not how I pictured an Ainur with great command over nature to be.

Elves only played a bit-part role in this one, only really become important at the show-piece battle of the five armies. Guess Legolas will save them from the spiders or do rob some other heroic deed off Bilbo.

Well, well....Crixus is Azog. Damn, Thorin got his hands full. Azog anyway should be long dead. Bolg is the actual big bad goblin left, but no word on him. I enjoyed the Dwarven history in middle-earth so much I feel a little at odds with this.

I seriously need to read the books again. Now that I think of it, I think it was only Aragorn who captured Gollum and took him to Mirkwood. Still unsure as to whether or not this was mentioned in The Hobbit or Fellowship of The Ring.

Legolas definitely helped him out, what you said feels familiar. Then he escaped while in elven captivity, and fled to mordor I think.

I don't care about what he says, he has by far the greatest combat skills in cinematic history. You can't really beat a Mumakil massacre, mf.

I'm curious as to where this movie is going to end because Smaug shows up very late in the book.

They tinkered a bit in LOTR as well. If I recall correctly, the spider was in the book TTT, but it was in the film ROTK.

I also think that Boromir's death was in the first book...is that right?

Sam is shit tbh. And so is Frodo's constant BS. Merry and Pip ftw.

Best bromance scene in the trilogy was between Aragorn and Boromir.

I have the LOTR ones on single Blu Ray discs. I think the first two are extended, but not ROTK.

It's worth watching it in lower quality just to see Saruman's death. I can't understand why that scene was cut in the first place. facepalm

I'm upset that my ROTK disc doesn't have AraGOAT's showdown with Mouth of Sauron.
